Age. It’s a thing

Collaborating with you to cultivate new perspectives

Sharing the Impact of Women 40+ and the Power of Age Diversity

You’re looking to give your conference guests an entertainingly educational speaker where they walk away powered up with tools in hand, feeling as if they belong and ready to take on the world. Or perhaps you're on the hunt for an age-positive educator to share information that leads to new ideas and inspiration for a team.

Barbara Brooks is your age diversity expert, spokesperson, and thought starter sharing the effects of age inclusion.

Impactful Age-Positive Talks that Spark Collaboration

Barbara bursts with energy on stage (and off), and with her unique blend of vision, savvy, heart, and humor, she’ll leave your guests with knowledge bombs, stats, and practical tools to supercharge their success—whatever that looks like to them.

“Aging is just leveling up in our game of life, unlocking new quests, challenging others, and gaining new perspectives!”

-Barbara Brooks, SecondAct|Women

Hello, I'm Barbara!

I’m happy you’re here. I’m your advocate for age positivity, championing women, and rallying allies everywhere. I’m on a mission to help change the narrative on age and aging today. In my action-packed talks and training, I reframe aging and emphasize the richness of multigenerational diversity—and owning who you are regardless of age. After all, age discrimination against Americans aged 50-plus cost the U.S. economy $850 billion in 2018. Can you imagine how high it could go if ageism continued? And there’s also reverse ageism, too! Ageism is a bad thing all around.

Oh, and a little background: I’m as real as you get on stage and leave guests thinking. I’m also a savvy entrepreneur, a 20-year corporate woman who has worked for global companies like IHeartMedia, Gannett, and Simon Property Group. And yes, I have a podcast, too. Who doesn’t these days?
